Welcome to the 2026–27 season of the Guitar Society of Toronto!
We are excited to welcome an outstanding lineup of Canadian and International artists to our concert stage, many of whom will be making their Toronto debuts.
Jeffrey McFadden kicks off the season in September, followed by Julian Bream Trust Scholar Oliver Manning from the UK in October and GFA winner Virgile Barthe from France in November. January will feature the return of the always energetic Canadian Guitar Quartet. In February, we are delighted to present the fabulous Greek duo Antigoni Goni and Eleonora Perretta, followed by Italian virtuoso Cinzia Milani in March.
April will feature the thirteenth edition of our very popular Toronto Guitar Weekend—a wonderful opportunity to spend a few days completely immersed in the guitar! This year’s event will feature the extraordinary Ana Vidović from Croatia and promises another fun and educational weekend, with lectures, a luthier fair, a master class, an open mic, and the tremendously popular Brunch with the Artists. Following the success of last year’s event, we are also planning to hold our second Youth Competition. Stay tuned for more details!
Our other activities include presenting classical guitar performances in schools and, more recently, in retirement homes—made possible through the generous support of our donors. We have renewed our focus on commissioning new music and continue to support guitar students through scholarships. Our Community Guitar Orchestra allows guitarists of all ages and skill levels to learn and perform in an ensemble setting, while our members’ open mics provide an opportunity to perform or simply enjoy an evening of music in a relaxed atmosphere with friends.
